Dry Erase Table

Help me give my students a small group table to not only learn math, but DO it.....right on the table with dry erase markers!

My Students

Every morning my 1st graders enter our classroom eager to learn and experience the best of public education. My students are a delight! They live in a rural, small community and around 70% of them receiving a free or reduced-price lunch.

Parents want the best for their children but often struggle to make ends meet.

Many come from single parent homes and some are being raised by grandparents or foster parents. They come to school eager to learn but often with so much energy, it's hard for them to pay attention or stay focused. Although we have an active PTO, we don't have the funds available to fund all of the materials that teachers request.

My Project

Every day, I meet with each child in small groups during math. At our table we learn and practice many math skills, but handing out boards for them to write on is time consuming. This table will eliminate that problem because the table can be written on with dry erase markers!

With this dry erase table, students will be able to write directly on the table to practice the skills being taught!

Student learning will be positively impacted immediately. I will be able to spend my time teaching, observing, and guiding instead of handing out and collecting marker boards. It's a WIN for us all!
