This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Every student can learn, just not on the same day, or in the same way." - George Evans
I work in a low-income school district in Washington state where 100% of my students receive free meals at school
My students are migrant learners who live on a reservation. They are eager to learn despite the odds they have against them in their lives. At our school, we do everything we can to help them be college and career ready. This includes being people who are hard workers and excited to learn.
My Project
My students use dry erase markers multiple times a day! They practice letter formation, write numbers, and write words. They practice labeling pictures on their whiteboards as well. We often use our whiteboards during both whole group and small group. Clearly, we will use these materials often in our classroom!
These markers would be used to the fullest extent in my classroom!
Due to budget restrictions, it is difficult to get a class set of dry erase markers for my students. By receiving a large supply, we will have extras for when old markers dry out and my students in future years will benefit as well.
