Drumming Up Learning!

Help me give my students a well rounded World Music Drumming experience with these agogo bells, cowbells, and beaded maracas! By having these extra instruments, we can add more diverse sounds to our world music drumming experiences!

My Project

Our classroom has a great amount of drums to get started in our music room. Many of the pieces we learn also include parts for double bell, cowbell, and shakers. While we have items we could use as substitutes for these instruments, the ones we are asking for give a more authentic sound and experience for students. The more parts we are able to add to our drumming, the more students have to focus on listening to others. The more varied the sounds, the easier it is to pick out how certain sounds fit together. This adds to students ability to perform together as an ensemble and prepares them for middle school band, orchestra, and choir.
