Our students love hands-on learning. Learning to play the rhythms of Africa and the Caribbean will be a special experience that will take our students on a journey of cultural connectedness.
This Dancing Drum curriculum and instruments will make a guided world drumming exploration educational and fun.
We have a lot of bucket drums in the classroom already: this BoomBa kit will add additional voices to our musical arrangements, and the instruments correspond to the activities in the book. I attended a PD years ago with Dancing Drum; their color coded instruments make it easy for students to follow along with the arrangements: blue for 'boom,' red for 'ba.' Thank you for bringing the magic of Dancing Drum into our classroom. This curriculum will make teaching and learning the rhythms of Africa and the Caribbean easy and sequential. Thank you for helping my students connect with the music of their ancestors.
