Drumming the Day Away!

My students need more tubano drums for our classroom. We don't currently have enough to keep up with our current class sizes.

My Students

Our students are hard-working kids. The moment my kids come in, they are eager and ready to learn. Over the last few years though, our class sizes have increased and I am having a hard time keeping up in regards to having enough materials for all of my students.

My students love being loud in our music classroom whether we are playing music, singing, dancing, the list goes on.

After all, music is all about having fun and being creative. From the time they walk through my door as kinders to when they are 4th graders leaving for the last time, we are expressing ourselves through movement and music and it can get a bit loud. That's where I need your help!

My Project

With our continued school growth, I don't currently have enough drums for our World Drumming Music studies curriculum. My goal is to add 6-9 more drums within the next few years so that my classes of 30 are able to play. This is an amazing program that I have been trained in that connects music with Social Studies, Geography and Music. We learn about the culture and work together to build teamwork, listening and cooperation. It's an amazing program! I currently have 8 drums, where I double my students on allowing 16 students to perform. These drums would allow me to provide 6 more students with drums. It would be an amazing tool in our classroom.
