Drumming in Physical Education

My Students

My students are an amazing group of seventh and eighth grade students in Wisconsin. Along with my two teaching partners, we see all 950 students in two days!

Our students love to be challenged and enjoy new experiences with activities and lessons.

Every student deserves to have a quality physical education and health class. We are always looking for supplies, equipment, and resources to make this happen!

Our curriculum is ever-changing to make real-world experiences for our students! We love adding lifelong activities to keep our students moving.

My Project

We will use the buckets to hold our exercise balls to create drums. The drumsticks will be used to hit the ball, the bucket, and the floor. This is a great way to mix music and physical activity to create a fun experience for the students.

Drumming is a great full body workout that is great for students of all abilities.

By mixing music with physical activity, you engage students with new activities they typically don't do on their own. Drumming would provide a new activity for our students to stay engaged and active in class.
