My students need drums to help students focus. These drums will also be used to tie in music education with the academic curriculum.

My Students

The traditional classroom is very square. While our students are all different and unique. In order to meet my students uniqueness's and individualists my classroom needs to reflect this.

In teaching my students to think outside of the box I believe that we can collaborate as a group. Giving students the opportunity to work with more students will allow for new partnerships in the classroom and explore new avenues of creativity.

My Project

Like most students, my students often struggle to focus. By providing students with bongo drums to play during a lesson, students will have to pay attention in order to know when to beat the drum. Beating the drum will help students identify when an idea or statement, is important and help maintain focus during the lesson.

" Change the world- teach music." By incorporating the drum into every day lessons and daily activities, we hope to foster a love in students for music and the arts.

It is essential in the classroom that students love coming to school and that learning continues to be engaging and fun.
