My Students
I have always wished for my students to experience the excitement and joy of a drum circle. With gathering drums, four or more students can play together. The drums also deliver a big sound because of an amplifying chamber. These huge drums will resonate their bodies with rhythm!
This is a small charter school of approximately 200 smiling faces.
I love our students. The students are so well mannered, giving, and sharing. I teach Kindergarten through sixth grade students. They come to my classroom eager to learn. I love when they say "Can we do it again?"
My Project
In a Drum Circle, it is all about listening and cooperation. Students put their voices at rest including opinions and attitudes. Instead, they use their hands to promote positive communication with others. Students will have the unique opportunity of leading and following to learn that strength is in working together not alone or in competition. With Discipline, Respect, and Unity through Music so many of our students can reach their highest potential.
We currently do not have floor instruments/drums in our music room.
They are very costly instruments. With the lack of funding right now for music supplies, I am asking for your donation to share gathering drums with my students now and for years to come. The only challenge will be getting the children to stop playing!
