The biggest struggle for our small charter school is the lack of funds. It is with a deep dedication to my students' music education and the donated instruments we have received that let our students know that their music studies are valued, supported, and encouraged at our school and in our community. Music instruction is provided during regular school hours and in our many after-school programs learning guitar, singing, keyboard, and drama/musicals. There has been great progress in our program, however purchasing instruments is still a neccessity in order for current and future students to reach their full musical capabilities. Music is essential for a well rounded education. I want to give our students as many opportunities as possible to explore their music talents and succeed outside of the general classroom.
