My Project
Using modern technology like drones in physical science education can significantly enhance student engagement and learning by providing hands-on, real-world applications and fostering STEM skills. Students can design and execute experiments using drones, such as measuring distances, angles, and speeds, or studying the effects of forces on flight. Working with drones often requires teamwork and collaboration, fostering important social skills. In Kealakekua, place-based education could leverage drones for hands-on learning, potentially exploring local geography, culture, and environment, while also preparing students for careers in fields like agriculture, civil defense, and environmental conservation.
