Help me give my students an opportunity to experience STEM through droning. They will fly them manually and program them to fly.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Clemmons's classroom raised $513

My Project
Our school district, located outside of the nation's capital, is unique in that it has a diversity of races, a variety of cultures, and a 50 percent female to male population. With over 53% of students enrolled are eligible for free or reduced-priced lunch so we have a strong need for your support.
Your contributions to this project will inform students of a variety of drone careers in STEM, prepare all students to take the FAA TRUST Recreational Drone certificate, help drone students to make connections between learning how to apply drone skills, engage students in drone experiences that lay the foundation to take the FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone exam, and expand on their drone problem-solving skills as they take on collaborative drone challenges that simulate the workplace.
I am requesting four drones to provide my students opportunities to develop real-world STEM intelligences: drone pilot, drone photography, and drone cinematography skills.
The Association for Unmanned Vehicles Systems (UVS) International projected more than 100,000 new jobs will be created in unmanned aircraft by 2025.
The average drone pilot makes about $82,000 a year according to Glassdoor.com. A drone pilot with less than a year can charge $26.00 an hour according to National Guard data.
Based on this employment data, our middle school will offer sixth through eighth grade students opportunities to take Mr. Clemmons’ technology classes.
The Tello drones you sponsor here will allow students to engage in a hands-on drone curriculum designed to nurture and mature students' understanding of STEM through aeronautics.
Students will gain an understanding of aeronautics careers, learn about UAV parts and systems, increase understanding of physics and the environment, learn about UAV flight safety, learn about UAV flight theory, learn to fly UAVs safely, learn to program a UAV with block code, and
Half of students from low‑income households
