Drone for Coding/Filming

Help me give my students a drone to use during coding and filming as well as ten sets of headphones.

My Students

The students I teach are academically gifted and/or high achieving learners who attend Title I schools. They are excited about the world around them and how it works. They are from diverse backgrounds, but are all eager and fast learners.

I want them to have the opportunities they need to learn and grow.

Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.

My Project

I have been fortunate to teach my students the basics of coding using free online programs such as Code.org and Scratch. I would like to bring their coding skills to life by allowing students to see their code being used in real life.

How do drones play a part in everyday life?

I am requesting a drone to use with my students. Drones are not only fun to fly, but can be used to check on coordinates. I'm requesting one drone to give all students a chance to try their code. Students can use the drones to simulate checking on their city layouts setting code commands and test running their code.
