My Project

Hi! I'm a 4K-5th grade Technology teacher. My students love hands-on learning, especially when that involves robots! To enhance my early elementary students’ foundational skills in computational thinking and problem-solving, I am requesting three Sphero Indi Student Kits. The Indi robots provide a screen-free introduction to programming using color-coded tiles, making them accessible and engaging for young learners. These kits promote creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking, all while aligning with ISTE standards and supporting STEM instruction. With three kits, small groups of students can collaborate on building mazes and solving challenges, fostering teamwork and iterative design thinking. Indi’s simplicity and durability make it an ideal tool for center-based learning, rotations, and differentiated instruction, especially in K–2 classrooms. This technology will enrich our curriculum by making computer science fun, tangible, and developmentally appropriate for our youngest learners.
