My students have rebound from landslide, fire, and a smaller playground. They are incredibly resilient but need positive things happening in their lives.
Fire recovery is starting to slowly happen, my resilient students, who rely on school being their safe place, and I are rebuilding our supplies to provide a fun educational learning environment.
At school, over half the students are fed breakfast and lunch, they are given guidance, goals, and expectations at school. They enjoy the structure and the love we provide at school.
I've handed out bags of clothing, snacks, and gift certificates simply because they need them. Of course, the students also get homework and classwork that they love. Our school is rebuilding eleven classrooms to be a creative, academic, and a safe environment where students and teachers can excel.
My Project
The following materials will be used to help my students learn and have fun with technology using 2 Samsung - Galaxy Tab A 7'8GB. We will be able to use our third Dash and use our Lego set by the Samsung Tablets. We rotate through the 45 students and eventually they all get turns. It is an educational activity they all enjoy.
We are still displaced by fire, and this will just add educational learning, excitement, and fun learning to the classroom.
The students and teachers are looking forward to our new rooms and activities that will spur imagination, thinking, and reflect using current technology.
