My Students
Students at my high school are 95% of the Haitian and African American background. They are a part of the inner city schools in our county. I say that because people outside of their community do not always understand them. So their potential is often overlooked, but in my personal opinion, they are the gems of our public schools.
The programs at our school often dominate over our competition in other schools despite the lack of funding that is given or lack of resources that our students have at home.
My Project
This blender will give my students the tool they need to research and make recipes to make and create healthy drinks and mixes. My students have been wanting to, and are ready to make their mark on healthy juicing and smoothies. The purchase of this production will help achieve that goal. This will enhance their minds and have them thinking about how to build healthy drinks and meals in a healthy way. My students are really going to enjoy coming to culinary class this year with something new and exciting that they want to do.
