This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a Portuguese bilingual teacher working in an inner-city school, and I would greatly appreciate your help in enhancing the education of my English learners. My classroom is filled with eager students navigating the complexities of a new language, and I am seeking support to provide costumes and books for an upcoming show at the end of the school year.

I want my students to showcase their developing literacy skills and celebrate their progress through a special presentation.

The theme of the show will be centered on creating a better world and will feature performances and readings that reflect this positive message. To fully integrate the students into their performances, I would like them to start rehearsing with the costumes throughout the school year.

Many of our families face significant financial challenges and can't afford even basic necessities like school uniforms.

Your support in providing costumes and decorations would greatly enhance our students' experience, contributing to their confidence and enjoyment during this year’s show.
