My Students

My students and their families are the bravest people I know. All of my students have severe speech delays as well as cognitive delays. My students teach me everyday how to communicate using behavior, patience and love. They are amazing.

My Project

There is a need in my class room to increase the size of our dramatic play area. My students spend most of their time in the dramatic play area (a.k.a. kitchen, baby dolls), and it would be beneficial to make this more user friendly. Each of my students are also working on following routine directions such as putting away toys with minimal teacher assistance. By having more shelfs, my students will be able to put away dress-up materials independently. We will also be able to store more dramatic play items within their reach.
