This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Poverty has no pity and it strikes hardest at its most vulnerable victims, our children. One of the best ways to help children of poverty is to extend the school environment into the community. and helping students acquire the tools they need to become self-sufficient learners.
My combination class of Pre-K and Kindergarten started with 21 students and is now at 30 students.
They need the necessary tools to have a successful year. I am working with others to try to provide my students with the best supplies but still need some help!
My Project
I have tried numerous times by placing tape on the floor which doesn't work any longer, so a rug would definitely be perfect for our class. I also was given a stereo by the school that does not work so it is hard to do our morning routine songs unless I borrow one from another teacher at the school. We also need a class set of 30 white boards so that students can actively participate individually or in groups during stations.
Please help my classroom by providing my hardworking and intelligent students with this rug, a stereo, and a class set of 30 whiteboards that can help them learn and understand their place to sit when I am teaching interactive and engaging lessons for my children so they can succeed this school year.
