Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are English Language Learners. They have been in this country for about two years or less. Many of them are from Ecuador, Venezuela, and the Dominican Republic. Some are from other Latin American countries such as Mexico and El Salvador. All of them receive a free school lunch. Many of their families use the food bank at our school and nearby. These students are eager to learn and look forward to achieving academically.
My Project
My students will use their headphones for various online programs that require listening and speaking. They will be able to use the display monitor to share student work and play interactive educational games. These supplies will give my students the opportunity to fully take advantage of the resources they already have. The headphones are necessary as when they are learning remote, at home, often with other siblings, they are able to concentrate and tune out the other noise.
