My Project
Doodle notes/coloring are a visual note-taking method that incorporates coloring and drawing, which can have many benefits for learning science, including improved focus and retention. Doodling can help students stay engaged and attentive, and can help them remember information more effectively.
Doodling notes encourages active participation so students can summarize information in their own words and use visual representations to create meaning.
With doodle notes and coloring notes, students can show their creativity by using colors, symbols, and designs to represent concepts and make learning more enjoyable.
Doodle notes combine visual and auditory cues, which helps students form additional connections with information. This form of note taking integrates both hemispheres of the brain encouraging communication between the left and right sides of the brain, which can enhance learning.
Doodling can also help calm the amygdala, a part of the brain involved with fear and processing threatening stimuli which can often be activated for middle level learners.
