Students at my school are inquisitive, compassionate, and creative. We value inquiry, diversity, and social justice. Our school is a unique place in that it truly represents the diverse population of Brooklyn, NY. Students come from a wide range of cultural, racial, and socio-economic backgrounds.

My Project
A Writing Work Space will allow students to easily access a variety of mentor texts, paper choices, revising and editing materials, and an area where they can participate in small group writing instruction. The sketch books will allow students to sketch out and plan their stories before and during the writing process. The bins will be the home to mentor texts, drafts, and published work by our very own authors. The blank books, white out, comic templates, and storage caddy will all be used to create published books fit for the best publishing companies! The paper organizer will house a variety of planning, drafting and publishing paper so that students can be independent and have choice.
By donating to this project, you will support students in their creativity and their independence as writers.
They will be able to focus on their craft and their technique. My students are hungry to write and these materials will allow them to do it without limitations.
