This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Can you imagine leaving your neighborhood for the very first time? Many of my students rarely leave Brooklyn to explore the world around them. As a reward trip and enrichment opportunity, we would like to take students to Disney World to enjoy and explore Orlando, Florida.

Many of my students have never left their neighborhood of Brooklyn and the idea of having the opportunity to fly to another state is absurd.

An opportunity to explore and break cultural boundaries while being rewarded for a true dedication to education is needed. Oftentimes, teachers and administrators find themselves focusing on negative behavior in the classroom and school community, rather then rewarding the positive. This trip is my attempt to showcase the high-achieving students and motivate others to strive towards success.

My Project

Students will have their room and stay partially paid for, providing an opportunity to travel to many students who would not normally be able to do so. This is a huge social and emotional experience for students who are learning how to negotiate their way in this world. Students are invited to attend if they excel in classes.

This donation will impact our students' lives more than we can imagine.

Of all the memories teenagers have from High School, this will be one of the most memorable. Students who have honor role averages and push themselves to success, will be rewarded with the opportunity to travel to Orlando, Florida and explore the magic of Disney World!
