This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have been teaching for over 18 years and have never been able to buy a leveled library to meet the needs of all my students. I have worked in Title I schools my whole career and we do not get much funding to provide extra support for our students.
Having leveled books for my students will help them improve their reading and expand their interests being able to pick up read it on their own.
I have seen how choice can positively affect my students work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more! It will build their confidence and independence.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
