This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach first grade at a Title I school. My students have diverse backgrounds and the majority are from high poverty homes. They love coming to school and learning. My students love reading, and their favorite books are nonfiction. My students are excited about learning new things. Reading nonfiction books help my students to discover new facts and details .

First grade is where most students develop fundamental learning skills that they will build on for the rest of their life.

My classroom is a safe and nurturing place where lifelong learning begins!

My Project

My students love to learn and have very limited experience with career options. These books will help my students learn about different career possibilities. We will use these book to read, discover and write about different career opportunities.

These books will help my students develop career pathways and inspire dreams that will last a lifetime.

This project will give my students a glimpse into what their future might hold. These books will open a world of possibilities. They will allow my students a chance to dream big dreams and knowledge of how to make those dreams a reality.
