This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are some of the best and brightest students in the school. Students in our school are typically immigrants or children of immigrants with language barriers which present it's own challenges to overcome. These students are ready to take their academic careers to the next level by working on or above their ability level. My students are on the journey to be pushed this year. Our class is full of project-based learning and academic rigor. I plan to challenge this group of students to be successful thinkers, readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists and friends.
My Project
Imagine writing a wonderful piece that you used the writing process to create. You thought about your topic, worked through mistakes and edited your work to turn in a final copy. Wouldn't you want to display this work in a book or on a work board for others to admire?
My students deserve to have their work printed and created into books and learn about digital printing through the writing process.
My hope is that with this printer and toner is to teach my students to create and print their work from a digital format and walk through the process of a real writer.
