My Project

As an elementary school counselor, I work daily to help students build confidence, problem-solving skills, perseverance, and positive relationships. A 3D printer would allow me to combine social-emotional learning with hands-on STEM experiences and career awareness in a way that is exciting, meaningful, and memorable for students.

A 3D printer would provide a positive outlet for creativity while reinforcing problem-solving and self-esteem.

Students will design and create items that support both learning and emotional growth. They can print calming tools such as fidgets, kindness tokens, and reward incentives. Students will learn that mistakes are part of growth as they revise designs, solve problems, and celebrate success. A 3D printer would provide opportunities for innovation while strengthening teamwork, patience, creativity, and resilience.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
