This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are in a gifted program. They are a very diverse group. Many of my students are over achievers and strive to do their best. Many can work independently and work at an accelerated pace. I have a group of about 7 students that require more support. Some of these students are starting to lose motivation. My goal is to keep these students challenged and supported.

My gifted students are very passionate about learning.

Some love Math and Science I have a few that love to read and write.

My Project

These snap circuit sets will introduce my students to electronics. During our dream hour time, I have students choose areas they are interested in learning more about. They create their own learning goals and steps to achieve them.

They write a report about their learning process and and present it to the class.

The goal is for them to become experts on their area of study.

We created a rubric for them to follow and assess their learning. The students love being able to choose their projects. Last semester I had a coulpe of students that wanted to learn more about electronics and I didn't have the resources for them. This is a self contained kit that I will be able to use for years to come.
