This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time."
My classroom is an energetic environment that encourages students to use visual arts as a way to self reflect and create.
My students are creative and energetic individuals that love spending time in the visual arts classroom.
We are a Title 1 school in which 100% of students are considered low income. 38% of our students are English Language Learners and 34% of students receive Special Education services. Our school is a small school that encourages collaboration and community.
My Project
It is mid-year and many of our professional drawing materials have been all used up! My students need pencils, markers and pens for sketching for their portfolios! Students are using drawing pencils and micron pens that vary the value that can be created. They are developing their sketch books for their final portfolios and we are in desperate need of new drawing materials!
Donations would allow the classroom to be refreshed with new materials that would kick off the new year and the second semester.
Students will be completing observational drawings in their sketch books and these materials would allow them to make the highest quality drawing possible!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
