Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Drawing books are a good stepping stone for students to practice and develop their own skills. Not only do these books allow students to work independently, but they boost confidence while also teaching patience and concentration! Many students draw to tell a story, share a memory or simply draw their favorite characters. Most draw because they want to get their thoughts and ideas out onto paper! At times, it is way easier to say what you need to say through creative expression than through the use of words.
I want to help my students use art as an outlet to express themselves.
Drawing can be used as a way of problem-solving. Students experiment with different techniques through these drawing books until they find the one that works best for what they want to show. Students then use what they learned to make their own artistic decisions. These books will be used to help students develop their drawing skills during early release Wednesday's independent work time, and to help build our classroom's art book library for early finishers. Help me give my students drawing books!
