My Students
Everyday I get the opportunity to teach art to students in grades K-8 about the importance of art and thinking outside the box. I see a variety of students that have different needs and I want to have a variety of art materials accessible. I am looking to helping my Kindergarten - 4th graders. They enjoy exploring new things and discovering new ways to use objects to make art. My K-4th students enjoy attending art each week to discover what we are going to create in art class for the day. I want to get my students a variety of art materials that are easy and fun to create with that the students would be successful with. Some of the items I am wanting to get my students include colorful bingo daubers, safety scissors, modeling clay, and paint stix. In addition, I want to help my 5th-8th graders by providing them with white boards so that the students can have an opportunity to practice drawing as well as using them for art room games and activities. I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Thanks!!
My Project
The art materials I want to get for my students would provide new opportunities for my students to explore materials that they haven't used before such as bingo daubers and paint stix. I would use these materials with my K-4th students to explore painting in a unique way rather than using a traditional paint brush. In addition I would also use the white board to help my students in grades 5th- 8th to plan out their ideas and brainstorm before starting a project. Also I could use the whiteboards for a variety of art room games and activities to challenge my older students. Having these resources would definitely benefit my classroom.
