Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many of my kindergarten students do not have the opportunity to use crayons or pencils at home. I love how excited they are when they receive new crayons and pencils.
The goal is to have a fun and stress free setting while using materials to help little hands with motor skills.
My students will focus on the task and not the frustration of grip and grasp. Whiteboards make learning fun. The lined side of the whiteboards are for writing and the blank side is for drawing math stories and writing number sentences. A magnetic whiteboard makes learning CVC words so much fun. Students build and write the word all on one board.
My students are from a small rural town. Many do not have the opportunity to attend pre-school. Every year I strive to make their first experience in school fun and engaging. These classroom supplies would help me achieve that goal.
