Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work in a Head Start classroom in the Little Village community of Chicago. The majority of the students are second language learners from low income households where the parents work full time. The Dramatic Area is one of the favorite places that they love to play. The children are busy pretending to care for babies, cooking, washing dishes, and most importantly learning those lifelong social skills such as; interacting with one another, communicating, and being a good friend.

An enticing Dramatic Area will promote active learning where the children can express their ideas and share experiences with their peers.

Please help to provide my students with an updated learning environment by contributing to the refurbishing of their Dramatic Play Area.
