This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am writing this proposal for my students who participate in our music and drama programs. Our elementary school serves a large urban area with a high percentage of students from low-income homes. Our student body is culturally diverse, allowing our school community to experience languages and customs from many cultures as we interact daily.

Many of my students do not have the opportunity to explore and experience high-quality music instruction outside of the school setting.

Seeing them grow in their knowledge and excitement of music is exciting. Many of our students will continue participating in music at the high school level.

We are requesting items to build a set of drama cubes for our spring musical. The cubes are great for rehearsals and will be used as moveable props for the show. We are requesting items like paint, brushes, clamps, drill bits, wood putty, and glue to construct these important items. The cubes are durable, user-friendly, and will be used for many years to come.
