My Students
When most people go to work, they are greeted by a computer, a register, or a telephone. I get greeted by tiny, smiling faces that are eager to learn. These amazing students are the reason I gladly stay till five at night, come in on the weekends, and toss and turn at night thinking about their successes and areas of improvement.
There is growing scientific evidence that shows students' environments greatly impact their ability to learn and their test scores.
My goal, through supporters like you, is to create a classroom environment and provide supplies, tech, furniture and more that help students thrive to the best of their ability. My students are kind, giving, happy, and dedicated to their education.
They have pride in who they are, how hard they work at school, and the bond we have made. At my school, more than half of our students are economically disadvantaged, and nearly 25% of our school qualifies for special education services Thank you for considering donating to our school family!
My Project
I am requesting large ticket items to add to our PBIS store, The Dragon Den. Daily we encourage our students to work hard, be respectful and follow the rules. When we see students following school rules we give them a ticket that is a part of our token economy. Many of our students find pride in saving their tickets for larger items and our school, Neal Dow, is in need of more items.
When students have something they are working towards, like the items requested, they are significantly more like to follow school rules which will lead to more academic success.
Donating to this project will encourage an entire school to work hard and do their best!
