Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Dr Seuss books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that my students need in both languages. My students love going to the classroom library and reading all types of books in the carpet. This year during Dr. Seuss week, we really got into reading as many as we could find and they absolutely loved his silly rhymes and pictures. Therefore, I want to provide the students with more Dr. Seuss book in both language to help enrich, develop and expose them to different books with supportive vocabulary to increase their interest in reading. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent and partner reading time.

The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading in both languages.

My students already have shown an astonishing interest in partner reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word to develop more independent reading.
