My Project

I am requesting a variety of different items- all with a great purpose! I work at a special education setting, where all of our students struggle with behavioral issues.

My students really struggle with work motivation, and keeping themselves busy during downtime when they're done with their work- especially in unstructured settings- like classroom free time, breakfast or lunch!

We are requesting a variety of games like strategy games, partner games, and group games. These are games our students have identified as ones they'd like, as well as additional versions of ones we have to spread across our school.

I love making my classroom a welcoming environment. I want students to look forward to coming to my class.

Sometimes it might be because they are motivated to play a certain game when they're done with their work. I love having games to bribe them, because they really enjoy 1-on-1 time with staff or other students. As a teacher, I'll gladly supply my students with whatever they need to be successful. Even if it's untraditional!

Our students struggle with behavioral issues, and sometimes playing games are a great way to work as a team and sharpen our social skills. Sometimes a good game can also help a student open up about topics that might be hard to discuss. Games are so meaningful in our learning environment!

As teachers, we aren't given any funds for our classrooms, so any donations are greatly appreciated. We work hard to come up with a learning environment that's going to help every student reach his/her full academic potential!
