Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a NY city public school teacher who has 20 creative and imaginative children in her class. They love to use playdough at center time.

Unfortunately, I only have one tub of old semi-hard clay which is hard for the children to manipulate. They roll it with cylinder blocks rather than their hands because the dough is so "icky" as they say.

If we had new buckets of soft, non-toxic and pleasant smelling playdough my class would be able to enhance their fine motor skills to mold and create fun shapes and designs. It would also be wonderful to have a set of ABC stampers to learn their letters as well as a set of dinosaur stampers that could be used when we study dinosaurs in the spring.

You will make it possible for my students to use their imaginations in a most creative way if my project is funded. Children love to explore new and fun ways to enhance their fine motor skills and using soft, pliable playdough is a great way to do it! Your help will ensure that my students create, design and use their imaginations to the fullest.
