My Students

Head Start is a non-profit organization that promotes school readiness of children under the age of 5 from low-income families through education, health, social and other services.

My students come from various socioeconomic backgrounds.

They have an immense thirst for knowledge. However, with Early childhood comes the need to learn and explore the world around them in a safe way.

My Project

I am asking for assistance in providing a double sided magnetic board to aide in providing my kiddos with a fun new way of doing literacy activities. They love books and we can even use these with books to help engage them even more with letters and sounds.

My students will be exploring, investigating, and participating in hands-on activities that will help them to experience real-life applications.

My hope is to supply my students with this double sided magnetic board to do these activities and to explore more in-depth the world around them. They will learn so much through this type of activity that will strengthen not only their math, literacy, and cognitive skills, but also help boost their curiosity in their own local community. There is so much to learn just in their own backyards!
