it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What I love about my students is their creativity, curiosity, and resilience. Many come from low-income households and may not always have access to the latest tools or resources—but they bring an incredible amount of determination, imagination, and heart into the classroom every single day. Their questions, teamwork, and excitement for learning continually inspire me.
This project will provide laptop screen extenders that will significantly enhance how my students learn and work.
With the ability to use multiple screens, they’ll be able to research, create, and problem-solve more efficiently—especially during projects that require them to juggle multiple tasks, like writing, designing, and presenting their ideas.
These extenders will also be incredibly helpful as we begin working with a 3D printer. Students will be able to design in one window while referencing tutorials, specs, or inspiration in another. This dual-screen setup will allow them to work more fluidly and independently as they learn the ins and outs of 3D modeling and printing.
Overall, this technology will help bridge the digital divide and give my students the chance to experience the kind of multitasking and digital workflow that professionals use every day. Whether they’re following along with a tutorial while creating artwork, referencing materials while writing, or managing a 3D design project, these tools will promote equity in access and empower deeper, more meaningful learning.
