My Project
This will be my second project for vertical learning whiteboards and supplies. For a couple of years now I have been utilizing the Building Thinking Classrooms model. This requires students to randomly get placed into groups of three to complete math tasks on a vertical surface.
The further they are from the teacher the greater that feeling becomes.
Vertical learning allows students to not feel anonymous while in the classroom. It allows them to engage in all learning. When completing tasks on a vertical whiteboard they are able to see each other's work and have access to the ideas of their peers.
As the classroom teacher I am able to quickly assess students while they are using vertical whiteboards. This allows me to pull small groups to help students master skills when necessary before they are able to fall behind.
