My Project
Celebrating International Dot Day is becoming an annual September tradition at our school. Inspired by The Dot, written and illustrated by Peter Reynolds, this event encourages students to "make their mark" and celebrate their creativity in their own unique ways.
The art supplies in this project will allow us to expand our Dot Day celebration by providing materials that will allow students to engage in a community building activity that allows them to express their creativity and uniqueness.
Every student will be able to make and take home their own "dot" in the form of a button made with a button maker.
We're excited for the opportunity to provide our school community with opportunities to try new things as they express themselves creatively and as we build our learning community at the start of the school year. Most importantly, students will leave the event proud of what they created, feeling confident that their mark matters in our community.
