My students need the opportunity to learn how to create items with the 3Doodler pens.
I teach in a wonderful school. My Kindergarten students love to draw and color their pictures in their writing.
My school has moved to arts integration this year and I do not have the variety of materials they will need.
The problem is they don't have access to various materials unless we give them to them. Our parents do their best to make sure their children have a roof over their heads and food in their bellies so art tools and other needs are not or cannot be met.
We have close to 500 total students, many of whom are English Language Learners and still a small school because we are tucked into a neighborhood so no one knows we are there. We are a Title I school with more than 80% of our students receiving free or reduced rate lunch. Many of our teachers must pay for materials we need or seek donations.
With the advances in technology, I am working to keep my students ahead while they learn. This is newer technology that they will not have the opportunity to experience without your help.
With the 3Doodler pens the students will learn how to draw with the pen, decide what to draw and explain why they want to draw it, and later hold it within their hands.
I can see them using this in math to draw shapes. During reading, I can see them drawing the characters they have read about and adding details to each like they have read.
Many say we are preparing our students for a future with technology that does not exist today. Keeping them away from the newer technology does not prepare them but ensures they do not have a chance to succeed as advances occur. Your support will give them what they need to accomplish their goals and meet future technological advances.
