We always tend to celebrate "firsts" whether it be the first president of the United States, the first man on the moon, the first black President, or even a first birthday! My students are the very definition of "first." To address overcrowding, our school is being built from the ground up and housing any students who do not have siblings in an existing school.
The first class in a brand new school, all of our students are the first-born children in their families.
This will be their first time in a classroom! This year will be the first time, for many, that they learn to read, write, and count. We couldn't be more excited to celebrate a year full of firsts!
My Project
When we think about learning, we often picture textbooks, paper, and pencil. But with the push for growing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) minds, this simply won't cut it anymore. Kids need opportunities to tinker and make, no matter how young!
With the 3Doodler pen, our kindergarteners will be able to learn about 3D printing.
Students will have the power to plan out their own innovative designs then print it all on their own! Made for kids, the pens use new technology to melt plastic filament to mimic 3D printers. With the plastic filament refills, they will have the opportunity to make their designs better each time perfecting their work and developing a growth mindset as they work.
Our students are never too young to tinker and begin creating. With your help, we can help our kindergarteners develop their STEM minds!
