This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are a bright, imaginative group of young learners with a passion for art. They come from diverse backgrounds and bring a variety of perspectives to our school. Many of them face challenges at home and in their communities, but they never let that dampen their enthusiasm for learning and creating. Despite their circumstances, they show up every day ready to explore, learn, and express themselves through art.

I am requesting drawing books and supplies to nurture the creative potential of my students.

These materials will provide them with the tools they need to develop their drawing skills and express their emotions and ideas through art. The drawing books will guide them through various techniques, while the supplies will allow them to practice and bring their imaginations to life.

Art is not just about creating something beautiful; it's a powerful form of self-expression and a way for students to communicate their feelings and experiences. For many of our students, art is a therapeutic outlet, and having the option to draw and create during recess and lunch will make a significant difference in their ability to express themselves.

With these resources, our students will be able to dive deeper into their artistic abilities and gain confidence in their skills. The drawing books will introduce them to new techniques and styles, expanding their understanding of what they can achieve through art. The supplies will ensure that they have everything they need to bring their visions to life, fostering a love for art that can last a lifetime.
