Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Fundraising allows children to feel a sense of pride in ownership of themselves. It empowers children by giving them the ability to control their own destinies, in a sense.

I would love to give my students the opportunity to "punny" donut valentines and use them in a fundraiser to raise money for an eighth-grade trip.

Toy donuts, packaging, ribbon, ink, and cardstock are all needed to make this happen.

After all the obstacles and impact of Covid students have endured during these unprecedented times, a fun activity that will reward all of their hard work is in order. The pandemic is still affecting the daily lives of many of my students because they have lost important people. My students will benefit from the experience and pride of raising funds for this unforgettable experience. This activity will make my students feel as they are more in control of their lives.
