This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Third grade math is HARD. Engaging students to be excited about it is even harder. This project includes materials to transform our classroom into a donut shop in order to review our math unit at the end of all the lessons for the chapter.

These materials will make a difference in student learning because they will have students excited about math the second they walk in and see the room has been transformed into a donut shop.

If students are excited about it, they will be engaged! From the moment they see the banners decorating our classroom walls, they will be so excited to learn! Wearing the donut hats will get them excited about the math lesson based on becoming donut shop owners all while working on their math skills. The possibilities are endless!
