Help me give my students the opportunity to fundraise for their 8th grade field trip.

My Project

Fundraising allows children to feel a sense of pride in ownership of themselves. It empowers children by giving them the ability to control their own destinies, in a sense.

I would love to give my students the opportunity to "punny" donut valentines and use them as part of a virtual coffee cart, which will be used to fundraise for an eighth-grade trip.

Toy donuts, and packaging are all needed to make this happen. The donuts will decorate the cart as well as be used as part of the positive affirmations. They will attach sayings and mottos as a way to raise spirits of others. Students from the school will be offered to visit the "Coffee Cart" and make valentines and positive messages for others in the school. It is a social emotional lesson as well as a way to raise money for the school.

After all the obstacles and impact of Covid students have endured during these unprecedented times, a fun activity that will reward all of their hard work is in order. The pandemic is still affecting the daily lives of many of my students because they have lost important people. My students will benefit from the experience and pride of raising funds for this unforgettable experience. This activity will make my students feel as they are more in control of their lives.
