My Project
Having food at school and the option to take one home is such a comfort for my students. Moreover, it ensures that they have the energy and focus needed for learning, without the distraction of hunger.
Simply having these delicious Takis, Oreos, pretzels, and cheddar cheese puffs in my room gives my students one less thing to worry about when they're here.
This small act of kindness can make a significant difference in their overall well-being and academic performance.
It also fosters a sense of community and trust, making students feel more comfortable and supported in their learning environment. Ultimately, this contributes to a more positive and productive classroom experience. It teaches students the importance of empathy and generosity, encouraging them to support one another. This practice also allows me to identify and address any food insecurities among students, ensuring that everyone has access to proper nutrition. By providing snacks, I can create a nurturing environment where students feel valued and cared for, which in turn boosts their confidence and motivation. This approach not only supports their immediate needs but also instills lifelong values of compassion and community support
