Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Not only do teachers have to beg and borrow, but also students, especially when they live in poverty, have to borrow basic supplies. Our school is a title one, meaning over 80% of our student population resides in low income homes.

Basic supplies for school are the least of their concerns for many household incomes are already strained.

Providing for those in need assists a child with eliminating another stressor in his or her life.

The folders provide a student with organization while the paper allows students to complete lessons or projects.

The provided student Chromebook’s battery doesn’t stay charged for use the entire day. The power strips will provide a stress free opportunity.

The mini garbage bins, which will be placed at each table will limit the off-task activity of “throwing garbage away”, thus keeping the student seated as well as focused.
