My Project
I need to attend workshops to learn an effective, evidence based instructional approach for teaching students with reading deficits. There are several new platforms that can be used to assist students. Receiving training to implement into lessons that will be taught will provide my students real experiences with a proven approach and allow me to deliver it to anyone in need at our school. Besides providing intense and clear instruction on how to administer the program's instructional approaches, materials are provided for implementing the practice required for success. My students will receive systematic and rigorous instruction in conjunction with activities that promote and enhance literacy skill development. For many of our kids reading is a mystery and a struggle due to lack of engagement in their lives and the application of resources. I believe that I can become a provider of valuable instruction that can bridge the gaps and help overcome these barriers.
